International Women’s Day may be over, but who’s to say we shouldn’t be treating ourselves every day?
When *Clive Christian approached me about their Perfume gift set for her, it got me thinking about the little things I love treating myself to when that little voice in my head tells me to ‘treat yo’self’.
International Women’s Day was all about showing the love to other women and appreciating what they do. But it was also a day to appreciate ourselves too.
We forget all about treating ourselves and all the accomplishments we’ve made, so it’s only natural that we treat ourselves once in a while.
As much as I like to save my money for big things like holidays and travelling, I can’t help but love treating myself to the little things that make a long, boring week worthwhile.
So here are just some of the things I like treating myself to:
Treating ourselves to the little luxuries in life
Perfume
I actually have a huge collection of perfume that I wear on most days.
There’s something about spraying a luxury perfume on yourself that makes you feel oh so lovely!
Treating myself to perfume always feels like a luxury, as I don’t often do so. Having lots of perfume bottles scattered in my room makes for wonderful decorations too!
Clive Christian’s perfume is certainly one of those perfumes I would love to treat myself to, as it’s subtle, with hints of it being a floral scented perfume.
Clothes
I’m always browsing on clothing websites for my next outfit.
Buying clothes is something I usually treat myself to on payday, or if I’ve had a productive and busy week at work and feel like treating myself to a new outfit.
Despite this, I am always saying to myself that I have nothing to wear (girls, can you relate?)
But it does make me feel good when I treat myself to a new skirt, top or outfit!
Coffee
Even though I’m trying to support more local coffee shops, I do love treating myself to an expensive takeaway coffee.
£4.25 for a Grande Caramel Macchiato from Starbucks? Seems steep, but boy does it taste good!
And it’s one of those little luxuries we can treat ourselves with at any time during the week. Before work, as a lunchtime treat, or over the weekend whilst catching up with friends.
Jewellery
I don’t often find that I treat myself to jewellery, but when I do, it really is a treat for me!
My favourite pieces of jewellery are my Pandora bracelet, which has a few sentimental charms on that have been given to me on various occasions.
Other pieces of jewellery I’m finding myself wearing are my rose gold bracelet from *ChloBo and my wings bracelet from *Steffans Jewellers, both pieces which are subtle, but beautiful to wear on any and every occasion.
Bath stuff
Particularly, Lush bath bombs, shampoos, conditioners, bubble bars and more.
When I’ve had a long week at work, nothing makes me happier than treating myself to something from Lush.
Because I know it’s not only going to be treating myself to something I love, but I know that anything I buy from there is going to make me feel relaxed and refined.
So ladies, listen up.
Just because International Women’s Day is over, it doesn’t mean we should stop being kind to ourselves.
In a world that is always focused on money and saving up money, sometimes, just sometimes, it is okay to treat ourselves to the little luxuries that make us smile.
What little things do you like treating yourself with?
